Hannaford complaints: where to take a problem

This page was checked on 2026-10-20. Hannaford's own site, hannaford.com, returned a 'Security Block in Place' page to our automated browser that day, so we could not read its contact, refund, pharmacy or policy pages and do not quote them here. Use the contact or help section of hannaford.com, or the store itself, for the company's current contact details and policies, and keep receipts, order numbers, pharmacy paperwork and screenshots of any online-order screen.

Online services, October 2026. Ahold Delhaize, which lists Hannaford among its brands, said in a statement dated 2026-10-19 that after a cybersecurity issue first disclosed on 2026-10-12 it took certain systems offline, 'including our brands' websites and apps', and that this affected most of its brands in Europe and the United States, 'although the impact varied by brand'. It said 'E-commerce services at our Ahold Delhaize USA brands are expected to come back in the coming days', that its brands' stores remained open, and that 'we have no evidence at this moment that suggests that any sensitive customer, associate or partner data was taken' while the investigation is ongoing. The statement does not name Hannaford individually; check the store or the Hannaford site for the current status of online ordering. We did not connect this incident to the 'Security Block in Place' page mentioned above.

• BBB. The BBB profile for Hannaford Supermarkets in Scarborough, Maine lists the phone (800) 213-9040 and accepts complaints through its page (read 2026-10-20). This number comes from BBB, not from a Hannaford page.
• Pharmacy delivery. In a reply dated 06/30/2026 to a BBB complaint about prescription delivery, the company told BBB: 'The delivery fee reflects the cost of the third-party service used to safely transport medications to a patients home' and 'Hannaford is not set up to accommodate cold chain deliveries at this time.' This is the company's reply to one complaint on BBB (page read 2026-10-20), not a policy page.
