I thought that we were getting a great deal on our washing machine from schewels. GE is supposed to be a very high quality product and stand up to high expectations. Needless to say it did not succeed. I bought the GTWN7450DWW (model #) washing machine and it BLEW UP! Literally I was in the kitchen doing dishes and my laundry room is beside the kitchen and it sounded like a bom went off! It shook my whole house and knocked a glass off the counter and broke it. When I checked the laundry room the ENTIRE drum came apart from the machine, the locked lid popped open and there were pieces huge pieces of the wash machine laying in my floor! The machine put a hole in my wall as well as busting in both sides of my dryer! I have never in my life heard of a washine machine blowing up but it did! I only had a sheet, 2 shirts, 2 towels and a wash rag in the load of clothes! If one of the kids had been home and next to the wash machine it could have done some serious damage to them and I would be at coorporates door this morning! I will be calling them and expect a full refund! These are expensive machines and I have only had them for 2 months! I will NEVER buy a GE product again and hope this issue can be resolved easily and GE company is willing to take responsibility for the cheap product they made that has caused me a hole in my wall and a broken wine glass as well as the mild "heart attack" I had when I thought someone was busting into my house shooting a shot gun because that is what it sounded like when the machine went all to h*ll!
