Bug Infestation

- Will not return even ONE phone call.
Just over a week ago, I purchased a used vehicle from Acura of Orange Park. A couple of days after the purchase, I called my sales person and the finance manager to find out when the payoff to my lienholder was going to be made. I left DETAILED messages for both, and neither phone call was returned. Poor customer service. SHADY.
Another day passes and I find that the car is infested with some type of BUG. Tiny spiders or ants, and they are EVERYWHERE. I sprayed, they disappeared for a day and they came back.
Another couple of days pass and I roll one of my rear windows completely down and it will not roll back up. So, I called the dealership again. I called my original sales person and left a detailed message - and never heard from him. Shady. I called the service department and asked them to cover the repair, and they told ME I needed to call my sales rep and see if they would cover it. (It must have been very hard for them to ask, themselves). So, I call back. No one is available. I leave a message. No one calls back. Shady. I call again and ask for ANY sales representative. I finally got one on the phone, told him about the bugs and the window, and he said he would have to put me on hold, talk to the used car sales manager, and would be right back. He disconnected me and never called me back. Again... SHADY!!! So, I called and asked for the used car sales manager. I received his voice mail. I left a detailed message. HE never called me back (over 24 hours later). Do I need to say it again? I have NEVER received such poor customer service.
The next day while I was at work, I sent a friend with my car to the dealership to find someone to speak with about the repair to the vehicle. Not only did he have to run around the dealership trying to find someone (no one would take him to the appropriate person), he was told they would NOT cover the repair of the window, and did not even address the bug infestation issue. He went to the sales manager, who then said they would "split" the cost of the repair with me. That is simply not ok with me - the "check" they run on these used vehicles might have included rolling a window down and back up again to see if it WORKS. I spoke with the sales manager and very calmly expressed that if I had the car even 2 weeks or a month I would consider their half/half offer, but I would not - at only just over one week after the purchase. He said he would "check and see what he could do" and that MY FRIEND would call me back (not him - he must be too important) and let me know what he could find out for me. BIG SURPRISE, my friend called me back and said they wouldn't cover it. At least HE called me back.
I HAVE HAD THE CAR JUST OVER A WEEK. It may not be the 'law' or in any contract that they should cover the repair, but simple, ethical business practices might dictate so. At the very least, their quality assurance test should include rolling the windows up and down... And if someone calls and says the car you just sold them is infested with bugs, the window broke, etc., it should warrant a RETURN PHONE CALL and an offer to take care of the repair "this time". These people are out for a sale, and THAT IS IT. I would never recommend that anyone purchase a vehicle from this company. They promised me the moon before the sale and refused to return even one phone call afterward.
Acura of Orange Park... I told my Sales Rep I was going to purchase another vehicle this month. Rest assured, it will NOT be from you.
