Chris: Extension# 5395 Complete liar and Scam

Used this company for new Computer Module and had the following experience:

9/6:

-Contacted AES and connected with Chris @ extension 5395
-Paid $215.22 for them to repair module
-Sent out existing module via express overnight mail. Advised by Chris that part would be restored and sent back within 4-5 days or by 9/14

9/14:
-Received no update from Chris. Contacted him for update since part had not yet arrived and was advised that it would be a few more days or by 9/17

9/17:
-Contact Chris again after not receiving and was now told that the module was not repairable and that it would now be another $180 to sent out an alternate module.

-Paid $180 for new module and was told by Chris that new module would arrive in 4-5 days or by 9/24

9/19:
-Received new module in mail. We did not open box and brought directly to mechanic and opened there. Module had been carefully packaged and had computer tape attached. All warranty info was included with box to explain the guarantee with this new module.

9/25:
-After installing module, mechanic cannot understand why same problems are persisting. He takes the module to a specialist and learns it's the same one that we originally sent AES. They repackaged it and sent it back to us. Mechanic spent 8 hours troubleshooting car before this finally was realized... Not his fault.

-Contact Chris and advised of findings. Per Chris, "they hadn't sent anything to us yet. The new one hadn't even arrived from their apparent separate warehouse to be programmed by their technician.

-Chris advises that they would have the new module within next couple days (by 9/27) and would expedite programming to be sent out "hopefully by Monday or Tuesday of the following week (or by 10/1-10/2)

-Request Chris to call me on 9/27 to advise of status

9/27:
-Receive no followup from Chris. Contact around 3:00 PM for update.
-Chris advises that module just came in, would be programmed by their "in-house" technician and be sent out by regular delivery within next couple days. I push for a committment to which he does not. I then request that when complete, the module be mailed by Overnight Delivery to arrive by next morning. He says he will check with Manager (Brian Maxwell at X102) to see if that would be possible and would followup with me on 9/28 with an update.

10/01:
-After receiving no update from Chris, I contact him at 5:00 PM and am advised it's being worked on and that he still hasn't been able to connect with his manager. He has apparently now been out of the office for 2 days and was in an all day meeting on the Friday before. Thus, he could not obtain approval for special delivery and no one else could make this approval on his manager's behalf while he was out of the office. I wask Chris for a committment that he will call me first thing in the morning to advise on status and response from his manager on shipping committment.

10/02:
-No update from Chris all day. Contact him around 5:00 PM and am advised that his manager has provided approval to send us the module via overnight delivery. He goes on to state that we "should get it by the end of the week." He will not commit to delivery date.

-Per Chris, "they don't have the module anymore on-site. Their one and only technician that performs programming is out on a personal leave and agreed to do it from home as he attends to his family. This is apparently, possible to perform from home. He states that AES went out of their way to overnight their employee the part and are even going to pay for it to be overnighted back to them for packaging and then overnighted to us from there so we should get it by Thursday. Since today is Tuesday, this is obviously not even physically possible had he added up his 1's.

-I advise Chris I have had it with the lies and no longer believe anything he is saying. I ask for the name of his manager and further, to be transfered to that manager. I am sent directly to the manager's (Brian Maxwell ext. 102) vm. I leave a message and no call back.

At this time, I am now disputing all charges with my bank (total of $395.22) and will begin repoting this company to every reporting venue I can find. This company is a complete an utter waste of time and I'm done believing in their ongoing lies. They are a scam and I will hold them responsble for it to the fullest extent allowed by law. I have now been without my car for 1 month, losing time from work, increased billable labor to my mechanic, and will potentially lose my job because of it. Due to these circumstances, I will consult an attorney and consider next steps for a loss claim.
