They sold me a used car with BAD BATTERY and BAD TIRES (dry rotted).
I wanted to get the year warranty, but they told me any problems I found in first 30 days they would fix, as they had 'fully checked out car (again) for me and all was well. I also asked about the tires, as used cars can sit, and was also told there was 'at least' another 40K miles left on the tires 'as they were Michelins'.
Battery died within a day, and within 2 days the battery would not even hold a charge. No way it could have passed a diagnostic service inspection.
They said they would reimburse me for the new battery I had to put in.
I faxed them the receipt same day.
I am still waiting for the money.
They TIRE SHINED the tires, AS WELL AS THE TREADS, so the DRY ROTTING would not be apparent or seen unless you had the car on a lift.
I had 3 different places check out the tires in the first week, and reported the problem to wallace.
They offered to 'send me to their guy' and get Chinese tires with no mileage warranty, and for this I could pony up another $400. What happened to the 40K miles left on these Michelin tires?
MICHELIN HELPED ME OUT - prorated their tires for me, based on the manuf date of tires & dry rot.
I now have 70K tires on my car with lifetime balance & rotation, because I went to their service location. Now that's a stand up company!
Wallace should take some lessons from Michelin, about standing behind their product and word.
Hopefully you can buy your car from some other dealer.
