Alert Transmission And Brake Specialist
Is a hack shop in

Late Friday afternoon September 7th. Triple AAA towed my 2000 Malibu to a recommened Triple AAA certified mechanic, Alert Transmissions and Brake Specialist, 4333 North Broadway, Knoxville Tn. My car had lost power 8 different times while driving at a high speed. I left the car over the weekend with Scott Brown the owner. But while I was there, Scott Brown put my car on a computer.

Scott said the Computer gave him reading that pointed him to an oil leak. I even asked him "how can an oil leak make a car loose power?" He said that he thought replacing an oil pan gasket leak and replaced the oil level sensor would fix my problem. He said that he would look over it first thing Monday morning and get back with me. My friend Artur picked me up and also talked to Scott. Scott also told Arthur his findings.

Monday Afternoon, Scott Brown called me and said that the oil sensor was bad and it was shutting power off to my car. (Again, I asked how can that be). He told me to replace the oil pan gasket and the sensor would be 285.00. I assumed that would be the intire bill. After he called me again only did I realize that 285.00 was only for labor I picked up my car Monday evening on September 10th, Scott Brown said that my car had a clean bill of health and should last me a long time. I ended up paying 595.00. But, I also thought my car was fixed. I got about 3 miles down the road before I lost power again. I had to call Triple AAA AGAIN and have my car towed again back to Alert Transmission.

Scott Brown had my car from September 7th unitl September 14th and never fixed my car. I informed him that I was not paying him another dime. He kept telling me he would only charge only parts on any more repairs. On September 14th, I asked Triple AAA towed my car to a mechanic of my choice. Now, I am out of $595.50 and Scott Brown never did the work that he was hired to do.

After the oil sensor repair and to try to justify the repairs that was made, Scott Brown begain telling me that my car had no oil in it and that the oil was flooding out of the gasket. I do not believe this since my carport does NOT have any fresh oil spots from this car.in the past 2 weeks, that car has been to Atlanta and back, to Cookeville and back, again to Crossville and twice to Rogersville. There is no way a car with no oil can travel that kind of milage.

This oil leak repair had nothing to do with my car loosing power at a high speed.By his own admission he did not even test drive my car after he fixed it... He informed me (and my friend) that the oil level sensor would shut off power to my engine if the oil level got too low. (I know now, that it does not)
