Recently, I attempted to resolve this dispute with Highline Motor Cars:

Hi:
I spoke with you regarding the Navigator purchased on July 19. After I purchased the vehicle from you and in less than 50 driven miles, gears 2 & 4 stopped working, and I lost reverse. I contacted you about the situation, and Ali mentioned that maybe your mechanic could look at the vehicle. I had the vehicle towed to %Transmission in Forest Park, IL 60130, phone _and the following was identified:
Replace center shaft retaining ring
Center support
Center support thrust
Washer
Solenoid assembly
Transmission fluid
Converter
4R100,4WD Rebuilt
The transmission shop stated that this was a pre-existing condition. The extended warranty company (purchased at the time of vehicle) paid a portion (good faith gesture) even though it was a pre-existing condition; but, they would not pay for the entire rebuilt, since the car had not been driven but approx. 50 miles since purchase. I had to pay $770.00 to the transmission shop, $60.00 for tow and $100 for a rental car.
You may feel free to contact the transmission shop. I am asking to be reimbursed for my out pocket expenses. I can be reached directly.

Unfortunately, we cannot compensate you for this vehicle, any compensation should be sought from the warranty company; at the time of the sale, it was made clear that we are absolved from any financial obligation relating to the vehicle.

Highline Motor Cars refuse to take responsibility for selling lemon cars. When you view their website, the pictures, location and building appear high end, and luxurious, but the location is nothing like the website (red flag). Stay away from this place. They do not represent sound business practice.instead, they want the warranty company to pay for their lemon vehicles and per their website, they strongly encourage their customers to buy an extended warranty (second red flag).
