I would like to share our experience with Motor Meister in CA. After doing some research and due diligence about the company and speaking with the owner we opted in May to ship our Porsche to them. It appeared they were reputable and the $8,000 that we were quoted for and engine and transmission rebuild was half of what our local mechanic was quoting. We were certainly wrong.
After shipping the car to California and paying half down they still have it and are not forth coming with any updates on the progress of the engine reassembly. Over the past 14 months phone calls and e-mails have been ignored by Motor Meister. What is even more galling is that they are charging $100/mo. For storage. I am frankly worried that our car does not exist anymore because they will not even produce a picture of it. The only information we are given is that they are extremely busy. Also it was shared with us that the person who kept things moving forward left the company and they went through five other employees until she decided to return. During that time we were repeatedly bumped back in line for reassembly numerous times. Needless to say we regret the decision of sending our car to Motor Meister and would never do business with them again. Hopefully sharing our experience will make others decide not to do business with them.
