Deceptive Practices

I was contacted by Vehicle Stars, about an ad I posted on Craigslist, on the sale of a 2005 Jaguar S-Type. After their guarantee was explained, and the promises that my car would sell immediately... By the weekend. I fell into their SCAM. I satisfied their contract; car did not sell in 90 days, at which point I would be reimbursed the money back guarantee of 399.00.100.00, would be my only loss if my car did not sell.

I paid them a total 0f 499.00. When the 90 day contract was over and my car had not sold, I followed all their directives in order to get my refund, i. E, a copy from the Dept. Of Motor Vehicles, showing that the car remained in my name. I also followed their instructions to send my request and all necessary paper work via USPS Certified Mail, which I did. I spoke to some one there once since who said my check would be in the mail... This was in November.

Never received any thing. I try calling their number now and then, just to be put on automated eternal hold saying I am next in line. The next thing I get after a 15-20 minute wait is a message asking to leave a voice message and someone will return my call... To no avail. I will be filing a complaint with the Texas Dept. Of Transportation, The Texas Attorneys General Office, and also in the state where they are based... The Florida Dept. Of Transportation, Florida Dept. Of Public Safety. But more important is to warn others that if they advertise a vehicle on CRAIGSLIST, beware of VEHICLE STARS.
