Is progressive insurance buying judges so it can deny claims?

40% of Justices' campaign funds linked to bench cases, *

I was hit by a truck insured by Progressive Insurance and the truck was at fault and ticketed. My vehicle was totaled and I was very seriously injured. It took over eight years to get through the court system. During which time the lawyers for Progressive were so arrogant they at times failed to appear in court.

After eight years without a penny in payment of any medical bills I was given a judgement. I then learned why the lawyers for Progressive did not seem to be worried about the case. It seems that this law firm representing Progressive Insurance in my case had made campaign contributions directly to the state supreme court judges in the tens of thousands of dollars. This does not account for all of the other law firms in the state that also represented Progressive Insurance and made large contributions to appellate level judges.

The appellate court judges found that even though the trucking company was insured by Progressive Insurance and the driver was performing within his duties as an employee that a judgement against the driver was not the responsibility of the insurance company. It not only reversed a 1.5 million dollars judgement but stated that as the victim of the ticketed driver I should pay their law firms legal fees.

Yes the trucking company was insured by Progressive Insurance, yes the driver was performing within his daily duties, yes he was at fault, and was ticketed at the scene, yes after over eight years a judgement was finally issued in my favor. No Progressive Insurance was not liable to pay as they insured the trucks for the now bankrupt trucking company but not the driver according to the court. I guess I would have only been paid if I was hit by a truck without a driver.

Don't trust any progressive insurance policy presented at an accident site.

Don't trust a bought and paid for court!
