Purchased 3 trailers from Lonestar. Was told they are DOT compliant. After picking up in shreveport and bringing back to Austin to have DOT inspection done, found that all 3 needed work.
Trailer 1 still in shop, cost in excess of $4500.00 to get DOT legal.
Trailer 2 required $485.00 worth of DOT reflective tape to be legal.
Trailer 3 required tape, brakes and drums, and 4 tires.
Was told by salesman, Brad Powell, (yes I did state his name) that they would honor the sale of DOT compliant trailers and to have repairs done. Now neither Brad or his supervisor Terry can be reached on their phones.
Will be looking at alternate means of making this right. Texas and Louisiana both have and honor the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
