Had NTB check [battery] auto light that appeared on dashboard for 2004 mercedes. Technician confined that alternator was bad and battery was good. NTB provided me with a quote to have alternator replaced. Left my car with to have 2 hour job completed by NTB. Called store 2.5 hours after car was left for repair. Manager stated the work was not completed but estimated it would take another hour. I arrived at store to find that NTB had ordered two alternators and was unable to install either device. NTB suggested ordering another alternator but, I told them to install my original alternator. They informed me that they had installed my original alternator. I left the store and got 4 different warning lights on the dashboard. I.E. SBS, engine, battery, and stop engine. The car overheated and I was forced to call a tow truck to have the car towed to mercedes benz. Mercedes informed me that the original alternator WAS NOT installed and the battery would have to be replaced. They also gave the parts that they replaced. Total cost for repairs is $1,017.00.
