I found an ad on this companys website stating that every customer would recieve a free iPad with any vehicle purchase on Black Friday. I responded to this ad and talked to a salesman named Larry. I was very spacific about the vehicle I wanted and Larry told me he had a Silver Ram express pickup and quoted me a price of $17,300.
I drove over 450 miles with my parents to purchase this vehicle but when I arrived at the dealership Larry brought a Ram work truck, which is huge downgrade from the pickup that we had discussed and told me this was the vehicle we talked about.
After much argueing we finally worked out a deal to purchase the truck I wanted for over $3000 more than was first quoted. Before making the the deal I mentioned the ad for the iPad with Larry and he told me he was going to get an iPad for us. After signing all the papers Larry still hadn't brought the iPad in so my mother mentioned it to him again and he assured us that it was on it's way. Once the whole deal was finalized and we were ready to leave the dealership we once again asked for the iPad to which Larry told us they were currently out of iPad's and guaranteed us that he would have us one on Sunday, two days later.
I called the dealership on Sunday and spoke to Larry. He told me that we would not be recieving an iPad because I did not qualify.
I asked to speak with the manager and was connected to the sales manager, Jason. Upon explaining to Jason that the stated that EVERY vehicle purchase on black friday would recieve an iPad he called me a cheapskate who was trying to rip him off and get something for free.
My mother then got on the phone and asked to speak to the general manager. The general manager's solution to this issue was to have some of my family purchase more vehicles from him and he would give them a good discount. My mother explained that in no way was an acceptable solution and we could not justify sending more business his way after being taken advantage of like this. He then became very rude and said he feels like he has done everythin he can to resolve this issue and hung up the phone.
No attempt has ever been made to resolve this problem of to satisfy me as a customer. This company uses false advertising to lure in customers and the tries to scam them. If any other company used these illegal tactics they would be put in jail.
