I started with CRST in Dec. 2011. I thought I could make a better life and maintain my living. I was wrong. CRST told me I would make so much money 22 cents a mile then after my training go up to 24 cents a mile. I had to take a refresher course at Kirkwood. I was told by one of the trainers there Women belong in the kitchen not in a semi! I reported him and nothing came about that situation. I was told I don't have a contract because I was not suppose to take the training course because I had my liscence when I went there. Enough said...
I had to wait 2 weeks for a trainer to do my 28 days over the road. I asked to be with a female trainer I was put with a male. So I figured ok I needed to get miles and I was tired of sitting. So I went on this truck 454M! Everything went ok for a week! I was told that I was terrible at driving when I was the one who watched the road and not drive with my feet up on the dash or text one my cell phone. I then called in the company about him. Nothing was done. The next day I noticed he was getting different to me!!!
He started saying I had a nice chest... Nice butt. (mind you this guy is old enough to be my father) I was not allowed to call my family or friends! He said I talked small talk! I thought I could make it the 28 days but I could not! Christmas He sated I was not ready to get a shower with him and the sexual comments started, BAD. I called CRST from Lodi California to get a bus back to get on another truck. They got me a bus ticket back to cedar rapids. I had to stay on the truck another night with this sex maniace... Or stay out in the cold. When I got back to CRST I filled sexual harrasment on my trainer. I was told he would be fired "yeah right"
I was put on a bus to go home! After spending Christmas and New Years in a truck I wanted to see my family. I took my 4 day home time. I got intouch with my fleet manager at the time and I was put on a plane to Los Angelous California to go get on my next truck. When I got there it was a nightmare. The trainer said she didnt want a female co driver from NJ. After tring to get shit staight for 5 hours! They finally gave me a hotel in fotana. I had to pay for a cab to get there thinking I would be payed back. That was a joke.
So I get on the truck with my new trainer and everything turned out really well. I finished and tested out no problem. I was then assigned my own truck. "best feeling in the world". I was looking for a co driver and no luck. I was starting to get disbated out on loads as a solo driver. I drove solo for 3 weeks. I then said to my fleet manager I wanted my home time. I had to sit in Troy Illinois for 5 days before they dicied to give me a load to NJ. I finally got home and was ready to go back out after home time drove my truck 2422 to Carlise PA.
Had to come back home that same day for a family emergency. They dinied me coming back home saying No I just had home time. So My friend came and picked me up and brought me home. Then I found a co driver that I thought would work out good. My friend drove me from NJ to Harrisonville PA to get on his truck. And with the understanding I would be payed back for gas and tolls. NOT! I figured ok I have a co driver now and now I will be getting better miles better pay. Well still shit miles.
He got off my truck when we broke down left it up to me to let fleet manager know he quit and took the rental car to cleveland ohio to get a bus home. I then got back to CRST in carlise PA and got truck 2828. Piece of shit!!! But I needed to find another co driver. I drove solo until I found a co driver!!! Not a good one. We got a load to Florida and he brought drugs on my truck! I called police and CRST to get him of my truck. So again SOLO! WTF. I got bit by a scorpion while in florida CRST did not care. My old co driver that I had wanted to get back on the truck with me.
So I said fine. He gets back on my truck just as I have my home time! Everything was going good. We get to Cedar Rapids IA and he gets off my truck! Over bullsh*t! So I sit at CRST for 3 days unable to move my truck. Finally they told me got you a load heading to NJ. NO PROBLEM!!! I didnt want to be in this company no more! I was tired of the Bullshit! No miles and the pay would make you vomit!!! They put anyone on your truck and you have to get along with them or you don't get miles and pay! Half of them wont drive there whole shift! Some of them are nasty no showering and piss in bottles and everything else! They are triflin!
My pay was 0.09 cents a mile I lost my house and my respect for this company. The Co driver I had tried to hard to get me fired but didnt happen. I left my self. If you want a good company look on here and find out the if and about places. Dont fall for this dumb out fit! They dont answer phones or qualcomms when you need. They have the biggest accident rate! And they lie about everything to get you there. They don't pay you back for tolls and they let your co driver take part that they payed tolls because they put it on there number 9 not you. They didnt' want to pay me back for the $400 in tolls that was authorized to me for tolls they payed my co driver and it put me in a hole that I could not get out of... So take my advise dont go dont belive what they say its all bullshit to get you there.
Find another company I have a lawsuit on CRST due to the way I was being payed. $0.09 a mile for 3 months! Look at there rates over 200 people a week go to this company! No experience. They refuse to give experenced drivers new trucks but give inexperence drivers new trucks and then you see them sitting at the yard due to accident!!! CRST has favorites and they pick and choses who they want. The co driver thing I don't want to do because I went threw 5 co drivers in 6 mounths! They tell you you will roll 6,000 miles with a co driver and with hazmat you roll 750 more they are so full of sh*t. Go there if you dare! But as for me I am done and I will not ever go back there and I will never refure anyone there. CRST has lost all my respect!
CRST stands for Crappy Rigs and Sh*tty Trailors You will be broke down more then anything and everytime you conect to a trailor it needs a PM inspection. So go to this bullsh*t place if you want to!!!
