Reman 3306B DI diesel engine had truck pistons and fuel gear installed in a generator set engine.
Company had actual spec plate off of old engine with ser # and arrangement #.
When apart to install correct pistons and fuel gear missing bolts were discovered behind front cover.
Had a reliable CAT Dealer install correct parts and evaluate engine.
2 times daily attempts at contact were ignored by company.
E-mail was mostly used for paper trail by me.
1 e-mail from company said that a mechanic with 34 years as a CAT mechanic rebuilt engine, and installed wrong parts, missing parts?
1 e-mail promised investigation. No action or contact to me.
Repairs will cost over $6000.00 20 e-mails sent by me to company, 2 from company promised action... Nothing.
