Blue oval industries buyer beware!

I am posting this to forewarn any Mustang enthusiasts that are looking into giving Blue Oval Industries their business. I ordered a set of bumper covers (front and back) for my 03 Cobra. I strongly urge you to take the time to read the description of my experience with BOI.

On the morning of February 28th (the Tuesday before last) I called Blue Oval to order my bumper covers and have them sent from Virginia (BOI's center) to Seattle at my current residence. He charged me an even $899 shipped and I couldn't have been more pleased with the price! I paid him at 6:30am Pacific Time which translated to 9:30am ET. I was told by the owner that he would have them shipped out that afternoon and I should receive them in 5 business days. So I carried on with ordering the rest of my parts to return my car to its original luster after being hit in a parking lot. Now... Fast forward to to yesterday March 6th (Tuesday 7 days after I paid BOI).

I am waiting patiently for UPS and still no bumpers. I am sure by now you guys can read the writing on the walls. So fast forward again to today. I am worried I wont get my bumpers by this weekend because I have a painter driving 200 miles from Portland to Seattle to paint my car this weekend. So this morning I call BOI @10am their time and get the secretary to answer the phone (keep in mind that getting BOI to answer their phone is an act of God and you have a better chance of getting on the air with the John Tesh Radio show then getting BOI to answer their phone). I start the convo out fairly simple and ask where my bumpers are.

The lady tells me that I wont be receiving them till the 12th of March which is the Monday after this weekend which is slotted for my painter. Now I wouldn't start this thread just because I got a late package... Its what is about to happen in this story that forces me to forewarn any possible future consumers of this joke of an establishment. I tell the lady my situation and she said that the bumper got delayed in shipping because for some reason they didn't box them up till last Monday the 5th of March (6 days after I paid when I was told they would be out same day).

So at this point A: I am irritated and B: I am looking for solutions. I ask her why I was not notified that they didnt ship them until 6 days later. She told me I didn't have to accept the package! Then the secretary promptly put me on hold and this is where it gets good! The owner picks up the phone and immediately is defensive taking a pissed off tone with me for daring to question him. He tells me right off the bat raising his voice continually that " They didnt get shipped out till two days ago and you are just gonna have to wait!"

Trying to keep my cool I asked him why didnt he call me to let me know that it was gonna be delayed an extra 6 days so I could have delayed selling my existing bumpers and delayed my painter or possibly looked into another method of accumulating replacements. He is now screaming at the top of his lungs stating " I DONT HAVE TO ANSWER TO YOU!!! You dont question me!!! And you dont take that tone with me!!! Imediately I knew this guy was off his rocker, and before I could get another word in he screams again."* IT!!! (yells at secretary) CANCEL HIS *ING ORDER I DONT WANT TO DEAL WITH *!!!" then he hangs up on me.

Now by this time I am seeing red and immediately start hitting redial till I get through. He answers the phone finally, and states "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?!?" I ask him for the tracking number." YOU DONT NEED THE *ING TRACKING NUMBER!" I ask why..."CAUSE I CANCELLED THE ORDER!!!" he exclaimed... I asked to speak with the secretary and he cut me off telling me no and then hung up.

Now folks! Thats all I have for now and I am immediately declaring a fraudulent charge on my card so I can recoup my money somewhat. The problems lies further. I now have two repairable bumpers that I have already sold (which was a very poor decision on my part). I am still in need of bumpers and buying them from anyone else is gonna run me at least $1200. So now I am gonna have over $2100 in liquidity hanging out in space and still nothing to show for in time for my painter. That being said I am in a huge pickle all because of BLUE OVAL and their HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE!
