Ty Tartler is the "Director of Lending" for this BBB "F" rated company. He and his brother rented a house from me and proceeded to turn it into "Animal House" by allowing 3 or more additional people to occupy the premises. After this fraternity house was vacated, it took 5 weeks to repair the damage, remove all trash and furniture left behind, and clean. It required $4300 to put it in reasonable enough shape to list for sale. They forfeited the damage deposit, leaving $2850 owed.
When turned to collections he moved around well enough for over a year to avoid being served papers. The collection agency was told he no longer worked for this company, but when I called they said he was still the Director of Lending. At that point I filed a case with Small Claims for another $100 out of pocket.
The Arapahoe County Deputy Sheriff who attempted to serve papers on Tartler at Fleet Financial offices sent me back the following: "unable to serve - attempt made - it appears that work is possibly covering for him. He is not here again". So I am now faced with using an attorney to collect this money that is rightfully due me.
Bottom line question - would you want an irresponsible scofflaw like tartler anywhere near a monetary transaction you are involved with?
There are people who take responsibility for their actions, and then there are the skaters and the slackers. Obviously this company doesn't care about the integrity of one of its "Directors", and you should take care not to deal with them or Fitzgerald Automotive. Hopefully what goes around, comes around.
