I went into the Geico office in Phoenix to get car insurance last month. I wanted my policy setup so that my girlfriend could legally drive my vehicle.instead of putting me as the main person on the policy, the geico rep put my now EX girlfriend as the primary policy holder.
The vehicle was and always has been registered and titled only in my name and is in my possession but when I called to remove my ex from the policy, they said that I'd have to start a new policy and that because of their agent's error, that the refund check would go to my ex. No amount of reasoning would get them to cooperate with me.
I asked for a supervisor and they verified my number and said they'd have one call me back. No one ever called. So now, I have to take another day off of work, cancel all of my policies with them, maybe file a small claims suit, and on top of it all find new insurance... Or take my chances by going without it.
The lawmakers that passed the mandatory insurance laws should be punished for violating the constitution by forcing us to do business with these crooks.
