Safeway Insurance Company is a rip off, on april 29 around 9;15pm me and my 4 year old daughter was hit by a safeway driver, the guy ran the traffic light, the riverdale police came and cited the guy.
This happened on a wednesday night, me and my child both were injured, (not badly) but we didn't seek medical attention til the next day, but also that thursday i called to file a claim but the officer wrote down a binder# which when they answered the phone 1st question was who was cited so i told her the other person so she connected with some one telling me that they couldn't help me with a binder# i needed a claim # instead so i waited for the police report to be processed, again i called back no help.
So my wife called and told them and ask why do they give out binder# if they can't reference them? That don't make no sense, so then i went to guy house who i had the accident with so he told me the insurance was in his sister name so i got her name and called safeway again, this was now the following tuesday, so the supervisor Pam ext. 113 gave me the claim number and for me to call Latonya ext 118 oh she took the information i faxed her the police report and she fax me the information for me to tell her in my own words what happen, now since this guy was at fault he never called safeway to file a claim at all.
So weeks went by i called only now getting voice mail, then 1 month after the accident, the news show that they don't pay claims give you the run around, act as if your'e not important at all, so i'm frustrated now since it was my only means of transportation i miss days from work my daughter is still nervous about being in a car thinking we will be hit again, so then i called, and called still being calm as possible i spoke to Derico ext 120, still no help.
So then they claim they had to talk to the officer, that another week to 2 weeks so i called back then they said they need to talk to a witness, (which it wasn't one to begin with) and that it was under an investigation, now so still stalling they had already told me my car was totalled, so i at least thought they would give me kelly blue book (not) they called me today to say they will only pay half of what my car was worth and the half to the other driver as well, since they couldn't decide who was at fault, but the police cited him not me, but they couldn't decide who was at fault.
So then i found this site and all our stories are almost the same, they are rude, always get voice mail, don't return your phone calls, i say we start a class action suit i'm willing to do what ever it takes to bring them down! Even to small claim court, or something they need to be exposed, you pay insurance and if you have a car accident they won't pay, lets' bring them down
