My husband & I bought a truck about a month ago. We were in Kentucky when our first payment came due. When we returned home I called and spoke with CHAD, and told him I was mailing in payment on 6/4/04 and, I mailed a check on 6/4.
I kept checking my bank statement to see if it has cleared. Time went by and it was time for another payment and I was going by to make two so I would be a week ahead. My husband recieved a phone call that they were repossessing the truck due to none payment of the first payment. They kept telling me they never recieved my payment.
After speaking with 11 different people getting the run around and CHAD not returning my calls, theres nothing I can do. I finally after several ugly messages got in touch with CHAD who said they had the check, but never sent it through the bank was mailing it back to me. I spoke with an investigator who said they would not talk to me and sure enough they avoided me, and ater 23 days they are looking for the truck.
When I got home on Wed the 16th I had a letter dated 6/7 in the mail box that was giving me the opportunity to make the payment, well I was never giving the option becasue I spoke with them on Monday, not even knowing about the letter. What can I do, lawyers are too expensive, they should have given me the chance to pay. Guess they got the down pmt of 1500 and this is how they screw people out of money. I have sent in a complaint everywhere I could find and I am going to every news channel possible for help. They should be stopped. Sny other car dealer gives you opportunities to make payment but they never deposited my check.
