I bought a chevrolet s10 pickup 2000 model. The very first day, after taking delivery of the truck
after driving it less than 90 miles, the heater didn't work, the gas gauge was stuck on full, the check engine light came on, and stayed on for several days, the passenger seat would not release into any other position.
The reason the truck had no heat, was because the heater core was faulty, which I got an estimate to replace it, including labor amounted to $800. The fuel gauge repair requires, that the gas tank be taken down and a sending unit replaced at a cost of $600. The check engine light, can be any of any sensor installed on the engine, which can run from $35.00 to $1,000. The passenger seat is set in the reclining position and will not move, which disables the air bag from deploying in case of a auto accident.
The truck was sold to me " AS IS " but all of these defects would not all happen in one day, thats virtually impossible. From what I have read all over the internet this car dealer has had many complaints, through out the years. I urge everyone this dealer has shafted, to file a lawsuit against him, if not for yourself, but for people who may stumble across this crook or crooks.
