Bridgestone Firestone Complete Auto Care Unethical Practices and Blames Customer for Store Negligence Internet

Do not go to Firestone Complete Auto Care located at 2211 Apalachee Parkway Tallahassee, FL 32301. I basically paid $100 diagnostic fee just to turn a simple sensor problem into couple thousand engine problem. Not only did they add 1000 miles to my odometer (showing on their report) but they took more than a week before allowing me to take my vehicle for second opinion. The store manager wanted to take a second look and insisted for more time to double check their diagnosis when I declined their $500 estimate to fix the sensor issue. Immediately after taking it to another Repair Shop, the new mechanic (who was highly referred) told me the vehicle arrived with no oil and the absence of oil caused major damage to engine. It would now cost me $1,300 to $2,000 to replace engine. Firestone Complete Auto Care checked-off on their list the vehicle arrived with oil and all fluid levels were good. I had the vehicle towed to the other Repair Shop and it was impossible the oil leaked-out without anyone noticing. The fact the vehicle was in possession at Firestone Complete Auto Care for 10 days and they did not mention any oil leaks is suspicious. I did complain to Firestone Headquarters who prompted the Arbitration Process and my case was assigned to Di L. Rogers. Mr. Rogers said after reviewing the Independent Claim Adjuster's report, he would make a decision but soon after receiving it, he either quit or was fired. They reassigned my case to Gil Leon who claimed the Independent Claim Adjuster who THEY HIRED sided towards Firestone Complete Auto Care but I was not allowed a copy of the Independent Claim Adjuster's Report (or even have his telephone number to verify it's accuracy) claiming it was a "In-House Document". It is disturbing what occurred, the fact is I purchased my vehicle new and the warranty well-maintained my vehicle. The Extended Warranty was good for another 3 years or 30,000 miles. The warranty just did not cover the minor issue, i.E. Sensor.

I complained to Better Business Bureau, which complaint recorded but it just shows Firestone Complete Auto Care attempted to resolve issue. How? By putting the blame on your customer for your store personnel's negligence. I have consulted an attorney but it seemed it would only be worth pursuing as a class action lawsuit. I relocated here and my selling dealership was just too far and no other place like it in Tallahassee. I wished I researched more about Firestone Complete Auto Care before trusting them. I was forced to sell my vehicle for less than $1000 since I could not afford to replace engine. The same vehicle is selling for $6500. If you encounter any problems with any establishment, do not be afraid to contest it with their Headquarters (although they may claim to give you fair Arbitration), complain with BBB.org and write as many reviews to tell your story. At least, help inform others of what to expect. I wanted to believe that it would be a complete waste of my time to pursue complaints against Firestone Complete Auto Care but the truth will hopefully be revealed and help another person not fall victim to their unethical practices.
