Progressive Homesite Insurance has screwed me bad and I am sure others in the area. There was a hail storm June 10 in Alexandria, Indiana. Progressive Homesite sent their adjuster out (Eagle Adjusting) and I had my contractor stop by and they both agreed that the roof was damaged and needed to be replaced.
Evidently... Progressive didn't like that. They called me and said that they had lost the pictures... And there were 2 more storms that washed the granules from the roof down the gutters and we found them. (My gutters are still damaged and they never looked at them) My contractor said that is not unusual. They sent a different adjuster out later and supposedly another and they didn't find more than $610.00 dollars in damage. Both of my cars were in the driveway and got hit and ALL of my neighbors got hit as well... But somehow my roof was the only one in the WHOLE AREA that did not get hit. EVERY OTHER HOUSE AROUND
ME LITERALY! Got their roof replaced and they dont understand why mine hasnt been replaced. Most of them down the road and around the area. These charlatans, Progressive, keeps sending people out till they get the answer they want. I guess they figure that you will give up and not fight because it is too expensive and that you will just go away. This is called BAD FAITH and that is
exactly what these people practice. I have only had this one claim ever on any home. I have had 1 claim years ago on a car that was insured through Progressive Auto and was very satisfied. This is why I bought Progressive Home Insurance.
You must understand that Progressive Home and Progressive Auto Insurance are not really the same company.
Progressive Homesite, according to their letterhead is the underwriter.in other words, they just use Progressives good name to cheat and rip people off.
Shame on Progressive Auto for lending their name to a Fly By Night Company like this.
You see the problem goes even deeper, let me explain. I have a mortgage so I have to have insurance. I tried to get away from these crooks and tried to find another insurance company. The first question they ask is When was your last claim and when I tell them 6-10-11 they ask was it fixed. Since I cant find anyone to fix the damage for $610.00 I say no. So I am stuck because I have a mortgage like most people and having a hard time finding insurance plus I will lose my multi policy
discount (home and car)
My options are 1.) To lie and say all is OK (I think that might be fraud) 2) Fix the roof myself even though Progressive is responsible and get away from these thieves and crooks and a BAD FAITH COMPANY. Then get a reputable insurance company like American Family (At least 3 of my neighbors and friends have them). (And got their roof replaced)
If you get a cut rate insurance company like this, watch out, the cheapest isnt always the least expensive.
Especially if they are a BAD FAITH INSURANCE COMPANY! Like Progressive Homesite.
I got another contractor for a second opinion, he also said the roof is damaged and needs to be replaced I called him on 8-31 and he said Progressive will not respond to him, just like the first contractor. I am in the process of getting a third opinion.
I feel that people need a place to vent just like usacomplaints.com I love this site. I am securing the rights to several web sites right now. I will be putting up a site soon and it will be only for Progressive. What these people dont know is that I was the original operator and webmaster for the company I used to work for. I also was a Benefits rep. And used to talk to and sometimes fight Insurance companies. I also had 12,000 people in this area that I fought for. And when I start. I will publicize this.
I know I am in the right because I have too much to back it up. So sue me You people are unethical scam artists, charlatans, crooks, thieves, liars and a BAD FAITH Insurance Company and should and you will be reported to the Attorney General in my state and the Insurance Commission and should be reported in every state that you are screwing people. I cant believe I am the only one.
I will not stab you in the back and I will not talk about you anonymously. I will tell you who I am and where it is coming from and where it is going to come from. (Very soon) I have enough integrity to tell you. I paid for a service and you screwed me.
