Super Shopper Auto Sales
American auto sales worst place to buy a car ever!

I have owned a car bought at Super Shopper Auto Sales for only four months. The very next day after we had drove it off of their lot, we experienced PROBLEMS! By problems I mean, SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THE TRANSMISSION DROPPED GEARS, OUR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION BEGAN SHIFTING VIOLENTLY, OUR TIRE MADE A RATTLING SOUND, AND WHEN WE RAN THE AIR CONDITIONER OUR ENGINE MADE A HUMMING NOISE...
We called back that same day and the dealer told us to bring it back right then and their mechanic could look at it, but they thought "all of the problems listed above was caused from the gas cap not being sealed tight enough." Sounds like it right? And ofcourse we had nothing better to do than drive an hour away (again) to have thier mechanic look at a car that should have ALREADY been checked.
When we got to the dealership, (after sitting for FOUR hours) they said that, 1.) The air conditioner pump was bad. 2.) The Solenoid Censor needed to be replaced. (Causing the violent shifting.) 3.) The front tire (with the noise) was missing THREE LUG NUTS (OUT OF FOUR) 4.) That they replaced the back tire with an Altima tire instead of the Maxima tire that was on it!!!
They then told us, they didn't have the parts to fix the problems and that they would order them and have them within the week. They assured us it was safe to drive and wouldn't cause any further problems to our transmission, and said they would call us as soon as the parts came in.
A week later after not hearing back, we made a call down to schedule an appointment to get the car "fixed." One of the dealers told us his Mechanic was out due to a death in the family and he would be back in a week, and to call back. ONE WEEK LATER, we called back to schedule our appointment. We were then told, "the mechanic had not yet come back and he was KINDA FLAKEY!" ONE WEEK LATER, we CALLED for the THIRD time, and were then told that the Mechanic had some health issues and would be back in ONE week. Again we waited ONE MORE WEEK, before we called and the Mechanic (WHO IS THE LUCKIEST GUY IN THE WORLD TO STILL HAVE A JOB) was back, and YES, they had our parts!
We took our Altima back down to Orland again, and waited another good FOUR TO FIVE HOURS, before they came in and told us that the air conditioner pump had been replaced but not the Solenoid Censor. The Mechanic had "accidentally" ordered a 4cylinder censor instead of a 6cylinder. He must have missed the two extra cylinders the last time... Again we were told they would have the parts within the week, and that THEY WOULD CALL US!
A week went by. Two weeks. OVER A MONTH went by and we didn't hear anything back. We called down yet again, and were told "YES THEY HAD THE PART" and we scheduled an appointment TWO WEEKS in ADVANCE!!!
The Monday we were scheduled to take the car in for our appointment, I figured we better call first. They told us, "the mechanic was really busy, and overbooked, and THAT WE SHOULD HAVE CALLED AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT!" In the process with moving, we had to call back when we knew we were able to get back down there to get the car fixed.
Two weeks later, before calling to schedule an appointment, I called and talked to the Service Manager at the Nissan Service Department and told him our situation. He told me that I was being taken advantage of and that if I brought the car into the service department they would fix it, and send the dealership the bill. And I needed to call and tell them.
When I called the dealership, they told me they would get me in that day IF the mechanic was coming in because "he isn't much of a morning person." He told me he would call the mechanic and call me right back. Two hours passed and I didn't hear back. I called back down there and they said that they talked to the mechanic but they were waiting to hear back if the part was in stock, because they needed to order it. I told them that I had been told the part was already there. He said that the mechanic FORGOT to order it! And that it wouldn't be there till the next day. I told them that I would be there the next day to get it fixed, but was told they couldn't get me in until the end of the week because they weren't sure what TIME the part would arrive.
I took the car back down yesterday to finally get the part replaced, but before I left I had a friend check the codes, with his own OBD2 (diagnostic tool) and I took pictures of what they were so I had documentation of whether or not they fixed the problems.
When I arrived, I told them I wanted an invoice with all of the codes that they fixed on the car and signatures. They told me they would. I sat waiting with another couple, who had bought a Pontiac Grand Prix the day before and were getting theirs fixed. It had overheated, and wasn't starting well. After waiting FOUR hours (for the THIRD TIME) I was told they had replaced the censor, but couldn't get the engine to start. Shortly after that, I was told they got the engine to start but couldn't keep the car running. Fifteen minutes later the dealer pulled the car up front and told me it was fixed. I asked for an invoice and he pointed to the recipet of the part they had ordered. That of which he wrote ONE of the two codes that popped up, stating they fixed it. He said, we fixed what it was so anything else you have to take it to the dealer.
I got into the car, and the car WOULD NOT start. He got in and it tried to turn over with delay before starting. He told me that "with cars you have to pump the gas to start them." He did this repeatedly, each time the delay got longer and longer. I told him that it DID NOT start like that prior to them messing with the engine.
He told me he would give me a car to drive home in and I would have to come back in a few days. After moving we live TWO HOURS north of Orland. They pulled up in a 1999 GMC Yukon, with a flat tire, was overwhelming with cigarettes (I am pregnant AND had my children with me), a quarter tank of gas, and VERY bad brakes! I went back after making it up the street, told them I wanted something WITH brakes, and that was fuel efficient. (After all it is NOT my PROBLEM!) They searched the back of their lot, and brought up and older (mind you they don't want to loose a chance to SELL something DECENT) Chevy Malibu. Quarter tank of gas, driver side door barely closed, broken tail light, and (what I didn't realize until half way home) BOTH turn signals did NOT work!
Needless to say, this place sells LEMONS! I have to pick up my car in a few days, and I will NOT be taking it home. I will be telling them that I am taking it to the Nissan Dealership to go over it with a fine tooth comb (on them ofcourse) and if they find problems (such as the one the DID NOT already fix from the codes) they WILL BE refunding my money, or I will be taking ALL of my documentation to court and The Better Business Bureau. (They told the girl with the Grand Prix they do not have a re-stocking policy, because she wanted her money back!)

Super Shopper Auto Sales is ALSO American Auto Sales in Orland, California all owned by the SAME PEOPLE!!! Do not whatever you do, buy a car from this company!!! I have never been lied to and been taken advantage of like I have been here!!!
