I have a 1986 Honda VF500F that I picked up cheap while working near Sacramento, CA. I knew the bike needed the carbs redone, I was fine with that.
I saw an auction on Ebay from a guy going by the name "oldschoolcarbs" describing his vast experience with the carbs of my bikes line (it's a V-4) and his $225 cleaning and rebuild service.
His feedback was good, so on 04 April I sent them in. On 08 April he emailed me, and said that he had received them.
In a phone communication in May I asked about the carbs, as I had been given a turnaround time of 4 weeks, due to a backlog; he told me that the Fukushima earthquake had disrupted his supply of parts, and he was scrambling to acquire a new source.
On 23 June I emailed him about the status of my carbs. His response on 24 Jun was: "Terence, you should expect to hear that they're ready to ship in the next couple of days.
