I bought a 2003 Chevy Caviler from Bill Heard in June of 03, I researched them on line first, then went dowwn there with a friend of mine. We negiotated a price and payments, gave Rich Greenblaght all my information, blah, blah, blah. He asked for a phone number for me at work and I gave it to him but told him under no circumstances do NOT call me at work, I will get written up if it is not an emergency.
I go home I got a good price, it was 295.00/month with 6.5% intrest for 6 years, no money down no co-signer. I looked over the contract and saw that they (BILL HEARD) made $309.50 off my sale. So here I am with my very first new car, and two weeks later I get a call at work... Guess who, yup, "BILL" I get written up because bill wanted to see if I was happy with my car. A few weeks go by and with in 3 days I get a total of 10 phone calls between home and work, I am about to lose my job because they keep calling me. And when they called my house they we RUDE, yelling at my boyfriend telling him that I needed to get down there TODAY and resign my contract.
Well it turns out that the bank wouldn't accept the terms of the loan, they wouldn't finance it for 6 years, fine thats no problem... No reason to be rude about it but none the less, We (my boyfriend and I) go down there to resign the contract, they tell me the payments are going to be 450.00/month and my interest rate was going to go up to 9.9% (actually they told this to my boyfriend, I guess since I am a little girl I can't understand simple terms). I told them no, flat out, no take the car back, by the way I have been driving it around for a month now and it has 400 miles on it so you have to sell it used, and since you only made $309.00 off me you can eat the loss. Because in the state of Nevada if the finacial insitution backs out I can back out too.
They looked at me and said well what are you going to drive? I told them, you said my trade in was worth $1, (89 ford escort... I needed a car... What can you do) I said I still have that car, I'll keep it. Take the car back, The contract guy, looked at my boyfriend, and asked him to get me to reconsider. He looked that guy in the eye and said... Buddy you d^%ked her around for a month nearly cost her her job and you want me to help you... She ain"t budging. We get up to leave... Make an already long story short, I ended up with 296.00/month with 6.5% interst rate.
But ya know what... This is anywhere in Vegas, not just Bill Heard, you just have to know how to play the game.
