Pauls Burns family of dealerships

Worst experience - stay away. I've ever had trying to purchase something. The dredge that run this car lot are absolute low lives.

I was self employed for years and recently went out of business. As a result my credit has been demolished. I know that I am no longer the ideal customer and I am going to have to put up with being treated second rate. My wife and I searched around to get preapproved before going into any dealerships and wasting anyones time. A few dealerships were upfront with us and told us to hit the pike. Some told us to come in and they could probably get it done. PAUL BURNS says you guys are APPROVED. My wife and I on seperate occassions confirmed this with T.J. Because we didnt want to waste the 1hr trip. And yes there is a full grown adult named T.J. He told me on the phone that we could see the car we were interested in, they would appraise my truck and we could iron out the details.

We make the 1hr trip over to the illustrious lot and meet Disco T.J. He gets the keys for the car we want to drive and makes my wife get in the back seat for the test drive. As we are nearing the end of the drive T.J. Asks me "So how much cash you got on you today?" I said - "none I was hoping to use the equity from my trade in as a down payment." Then T.J. Starts trying to work the scam. He wanted me to give him a deposit so he could work on my approval. Without the deposit the "mysterious credit girl" probably won't get to it... Man that is one busy woman. Once we return to the lot the manager told me he didnt look at the truck and Disco T.J. Asks me about a deposit again. So they want a deposit without knowing that I am even qualified to buy a car and without looking at my trade in. And Disco was pushing hard for this deposit. The actual car we wanted was at one of their lots a block away and we asked to see it. Disco acted like he spoke to someone from the other lot and told us it was in the shop and being detailed. We did get to look at it though because my wife and I drove over there and it was sitting pretty on the lot ready to be purchased by someone with better credit then me. We called Disco and he assured us it was a mistake and that he would be working on our purchase dilligently. After a couple of uunreturned calls and a few more lies from Disco we called Peter, another salesman from one of there other lots. He was nice enough to let us know that no one submitted anything for us including the original preapproval and that he would take care of it. But in true Paul Burns styke he never called us back.

So I am sure that Paul Burns dealerships business is preying on people with bad credit in desperate need to buy a car. They force a deposit out of them then after finally telling them that they can not approve them, they keep some or all of the deposit for some scum bag scam fee.
