Honda Odyssey - Transmission Problem

I bought a Honda Odyssey and had now 14,0000 mile son it. My wife is driving the car with kids and had major problem (thanks God no body was heart). While driving the car stopped in the middle of road and got like neutral gear and pushing on the gas pedal won't move the car - then it started moving again. I went to Honda dealer and said the transmission is bad and need to be replaced and cost is $6000- he claimed that things happen and transmission go bad with all cars but it's not true - on the net and reviewing consumer reports, there are over 80 pages of complaints about problem with Honda Odyseey transmission model 2, and 2003. This is unusual and unacceptable and Honda should hold accountable for the bad parts they use in their transmissions and this is risking people life; what if I'm driving at 60 miles / hour on a major highway and the Odyssey stopped in the middle of the of it - it will be disaster! Who can know what is gone happen with his car?

I called Honda USA and they said they can do nothing about my problem as it's out of warranty. If I'm only one complaining then it's fine, there are thousand of Odyssey owners have had same problem and paid fortune for the repair and of course Honda is happy because it's making more money on the repair and they are aware they have something wrong with their transmission and that's why they fix it in the 2004 and up models.

I'm reporting to you since Honda USA don't want to listen and I hope your action will pus them making move to save people lives and money.

Thank you.
