Mepco I paid in full 3000 to not only get told the parts r not covered and i owe $1100 or my car dont leave the shop! I have never made a claim on it! How can i pay half of the policy amount

In 09 i bought a policy for auto warranty from US Fedelis for 3000. Never 1once have i used it, In 2011 my check engine came on, took it to the shop. They said us fedelis went bankrupt!!! And i was no longer covered!!! So in the long run i gave them 3000$ for nothing and never got the service i paid for!!!
