I purchased a certified used 2007 chevy aveo from pine belt chevrolet in lakewood NJ. I was informed that the warranty i additionally purchased was bumper to bumper. The first 4 times i brought the car in no problem. Now that my catalytic convert went i was told that is the only thing not covered. Plus, i was told that the cat conv orig to my car was made for korean gasoline. The dealership has them in stock and stated that they sell at least 2 per week. They also stated that it is a defective part. So if it is defective i feel it should be covered. I am not working now and was informed that the cost can be as high as $2500.00. Since i was double talked by the typical "used car salesman" i feel that the dealership or GM should pick up at least 1/2 the cost if not more. I really like the car, and have never been late with a payment, plus i put 3 thousand dollars down. What am i to do now? They basically hung up on my and the warranty mechanic.
