On June 14 I took my 1999 Honda Accord in for an oil change and tire repair. Went to pick up my car and found that they
had stripped the thread in the hole in the oil pan and therefore replaced the original bolt with longer and oversized bolt which will eventually cause the oil pan to leak. At that time, I was given an estimate for a new oil pan.
Feeling very upset and believing that the mechanic was at fault, I left the shop with my car. I just took my car back tonight because they overfilled the oil by 1/4 which we all know is very bad for our cars. I am very disappointed and upset with my experience at Pepboys, and I strongly believe that the company should replace my damaged oil pan.
I have spoken with Adrian Ozuna, store mgr. And he said the threads were already stripped and argued with me. This claim is false. As a mechanic myself, I know how things work. Because I work two jobs, I did not have the time to do the job myself. I therefore trusted Pepboys to do the job.
