Poor Service at NTB - tires

On 3/9 I purchased two new tires from the NTB at 4901 Eldorado
Parkway in McKinney for $169.91.
On 3/25 I purchased two more new tires to complete my set from the
NTB at 7237 S Custer Road in McKinney for $160.79.
On 7/8 I purchased an oil change from the NTB on 7237 S Custer in McKinney.
Today I was forced to purchase a new tire from the NTB at 4901
Eldorado Parkway in McKinney for $74.

I had a nail in my driver's rear side tire and took my car to the
closest NTB - on Eldorado, and was told I would need to buy a new tire
because the puncture was in the sidewall of the tire and not
repairable. I inquired about warranties on the tire or road side
hazard, and was told I declined this coverage when I purchased the
tires and so now I am forced to buy a new tire.

Both times I visited NTB in March to buy my tires I am told I declined
the road side hazard insurance. This is a flat out lie. My receipts
show "DECLINED ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY" yet I have no idea what this
coverage is or how much it costs or any details about it. I had no
idea that it was an extra item and that it was not included with the
initial purchase price of the tire. The sales person insists that he
covered the coverage with me in detail, which is also a lie because
when I asked him how much the road side hazard would cost for my tires
he told me about $11 to cover them 100% for a year, which is a quite
reasonable price that I would have gladly paid if I only knew the road
side hazard was a separate item to be purchased individually.

How do I know the employees at NTB are lying about explaining the road
side hazard coverage to me? Because they have done it before. Looked
right into my face and said flat out lies. For example, when I got my
oil changed in July at the NTB on Custer I was told that the oil
change comes with a tire pressure check, rotation (which I was told I
didn't need at the time), and fluid top offs. I sat at the window and
watched the technician change the oil in my car without once touching
the tires to check the pressure. And when I paid at the register I
asked specifically if the oil change included windshield washing fluid
top-off because my car was completely out, to which the man at the
register said "of course we always check the fluids and refill when
needed". When I got into my car I tried to clean the windshield and
nothing came out. So I backed my car up to the NTB garage where
another technician noticed me and offered help. He opened the hood and
said my windshield washing fluid was completely empty and refilled it
in the parking lot. Since my tires were only 3 months old at the time
I decided not to make an issue of the technician not checking the
pressure like he was supposed to.

Also, on the receipts from March it says "CUSTOMER DECLINED A FREE
CHECK AND ADVISE ALIGNMENT". Now, perhaps when buying two new tires
the technicians decide to skip mentioning this little bit, since I had
to read over my receipts to learn that I declined a free alignment
check in the first place, but when I received my oil change I know for
a fact that the man at the register never offered me a free alignment
check. Nor today, when I left the NTB on Eldorado, did the man at the
register offer me a free alignment check. He asked me if I needed
anything else, and listed off oil change, tire rotation, and alignment
check, but he never told me that the alignment check would be free.

So I am convinced that either through laziness or incompetence, the
associates at NTB neglect essential duties in order to rush the
customer out of the store. When getting my new tires, the associate
neglected to inform me properly of the road side hazard and how the
warranty is a separate item that would need to be purchased separately
from the tire. And now I must pay for a new tire only 5 months after
buying 4 new tires. The associates leave out the "free" in "alignment
check" to avoid doing extra work, and the associates leave out basic
maintenance checks such as tire pressure and topping off fluids during
oil changes.

Why do they do this?

Are they lazy? Or do they just not care about providing a quality
service to their customers? Or are they taking advantage of a woman
who doesn't know much about car maintenance and so probably won't
realize when associates are ignoring their essential duties, or when
they are trying to avoid explaining important aspects of the sale?
Whatever the reason, their attitudes are unacceptable and the fact
that I am now forced to pay $74 for a new tire due to their negligence
is completely unacceptable and infuriating. How can NTB expect to
retain customers if their associates are treating the customers so
poorly?

I for one will no longer be a customer of NTB unless this issue is
resolved to my satisfaction. If this issue does not get resolved then
I will know for a fact that NTB offers deceptive customer service and
poor quality car care.
