I purchased a vehicle in 2008 car had 96,000 miles on it yes rather high but I have had other cars never have I had so many problems and repairs on a car. It was a Lincoln town car since puchasing the vehicle I had to file a chapter 13 to keep my property and stop harrasing calls from automobile acceptance the lady I spoke with during that time was Deborah. I felt behind on payments including chapter13 payments due to this same car and without a car you can't pay any one if you can't get to work. My case was dismissed from bankruptcy court I was one payment behind. I was advised that I could refile without the car by my attorney. The vehicle kept felling me constantly getting towed home missing work from trying to get there and car stopped running, when they called to ask about payments, I sent receipts of repairs and why payment was late, I can't do both fix a car and make a payment especially when repairs are over $700.00 or $1000.00. I mean these were expensive repairs air suspension went out twice in one year on vehicle and the back of car was leaning on the ground out of pocket repairs.
Heater core had to be replaced I could not see while driving I had a towel wiping window steam was coming in through all vents and I was driving the car steamed up I could have hit someone or killed my self a police officer stopped traffic to guide me off the road, I then found out what happened it was the heater core out of pocket repairs. A tune up which is normal w / o2 sensors was done, and tires this is also normal... But then my car started to smell like gasoline everytime my foot was on the brake, I put gas in the tank everyday the gas was evaporating and we all know gas is expensive to have it wasted, I haven't had this car 3 years yet and all of this happened.
I was scared the car would catch on fire so I took to the shop again. I was told gas melted the catalytic convertors two of them they were filled with fuel pouring out the fuel injector cylinder #5 needed replacement says computer was telling injector to give more fuel a computer was needed car was in the shop 30 days they tried two new aftermarket computers with a locksmith and a ford mechanic because of the security system the key could not start the car so he put back in the old computer disconnected the cylinder# 5 so I could get it to Pugmire Lincoln. I was told they could order a dealer computer but there is no guarantee this would start the car and the money for the dealer computer would not be refundable ford will not take parts back after ordered they suggested get the car to Pugmire, again this was 30 days without my vehicle I was driving someone else car or missing work and catching rides.
I was so stressed out. I called my attorney crying about this car. Also the driver window stop working the gas cap on door would not open any more so you have a handle in the trunk you pull on to open gas cap door, the radio worked intermittingly when you play with fuses the fuses were not burned out but then the radio pops on and after the vehicle was turned off the radio would stop working again. Now after the case was dismissed from bankruptcy 2 days later at 11:45p. M, my college child called scared saying someone was banging on the door with a flashlight looking in the house (not the garage) touching the other vehicle outside that belonged to my kid trying to open the door. This other car was not a Lincoln so they had no right to be touching someone else car trying to open the door. The next morning at 8a. M I called Automobile Acceptance asked about the status of my car no letters had been received, no calls, no certified letter just a repo man, the lady said car was in repo status I asked for repo company that was banging on door Crown Recovery, I told them no need to bang on door we can make arrangements for the car to be picked up in broad day light, it hasn't ran in months they now have my car after all the money I spent although I never finished repairing someone will buy that car from auction with the gas leak and all the wasted money I spent. I will try what ever I can to start a lawsuit against this company yes a contract stands but all of the repairs that was done I think the judge needs to hear about this, Automobile Acceptance they were never willing to work with payments or fix anything.
I decided to file for taxes god was there for me I never get taxes back and I did. This allowed me to repair my other car that's been sitting for 3 years it was worth fixing I had to put in a transmission more money spent but it was well worth it on a vehicle I know and purchased new many years ago, after all of the money I spent on Lincoln. The bad part is that Automobile Acceptance Corporate office could care less nor have they called me yet since taking the vehicle.
