Vague/Misleading signs led to car being towed during Rockies game. Subsequent walk to Brighton in the middle of the night to Lone Star Towing to be told they have no idea who the owner of the lot is o

I parked in lot near Coors Field on Blake and Park Ave (behind the Guriy's store) for a Rockies game on April 5th. No lot attendants were present, no special event signs for game were posted. Very vague sign shows two prices, "$5 All Day 6 AM - 6 PM" and "$30 4 PM to 6 AM" and the word Evening placed in between the two. I put $5 in the slot for my parking spot because it seemed like the only logical thing to do from the confusing sign. I expected a ticket if I was incorrect in my thinking. After the game I return to the lot to find that my car has been towed. I call the number for the tow company and they tell me I have to walk all the way out to 38th and Brighton Blvd to get my car and it will be $272 for "after hour fees". After walking all the way out there at 11 PM through an obviously rough neighborhood I ask tow lot attendant if he knows how to get ahold of the parking lot owner so I could have them explain what I did wrong and justify the charges. I was told that the tow company has nothing to do with the lot owner and doesn't even know his name. So I walk all the way back to the parking lot to find the number of the parking lot owner. I call and an answering machine message says, "This is Mike, leave a message." The number I called was the only other number on the sign. I left a message asking to speak with the owner immediately to see what they could do about getting my car out of the tow lot. I called two more times at 1 AM and 6 AM the next morning and left messages. Finally at 9 AM the owner Mike, calls me back. I try to get a better understanding of why my car was towed and what I can do about taking care of the charges. He was extremely unprofessional and not helpful at all. He confirmed that he has nothing to with the tow company and cannot help me and says in fact, I should have received a ticket as well (I later received a ticket in the mail for the full $30 even though I paid $5 initially). He said that he has the right to change his prices at will and owns 8 different "businesses" so that is why he can't put his company name on his answering machine. I believe that this Mike (he never gave me his last name) is running a scam where he owns various parking lots and the tow companies where the cars are towed to in order to make double money off victims. I do not believe myself to be incompentent or easily duped and while I admit that I should have asked more questions of myself before I parked my car in Mike's lot, I feel that I am a victim of a racketeering scam and would greatly appreciate an investigation into the owner so that I may prevent future victims from having to pay exorbitant amounts of money to get their cars out of impound lots and hopefully at the very least get the owner of the lot (and all of his other lots) to post clearer signage, especially in regards to special events. Thank you so much for your time and effort.
