The fuel tank in the car I rented was only 3/4 full and not full as stated on the contract. I only noticed this after getting onto a busy highway, late for my destination. When I later reported this rip-off to customer service, I was told that the contract stated the tank was full! Talk about chutzpah. Anyone who has bought fuel in Israel will recognize that this is not a negligible cost to the consumer and a huge savings for the local agent. I will not rent from them again and say to other "caveat emptor".
