I took my 1985 ford falcon in for an oil change and a tune up. When they were thru with the repairs, my fuel pump on the generator was leaking. A long story short, they charged me for replacing the fuel pump and never did. I just went to start up the generator after a long time of my rv sitting in storage, the generator started leaking, and the fuel pump was still leaking in the same place.
When i got a closer look at the fuel pump, i noticed my initials were still on the fuel pump. A little trick i learned from my dad, which told me they never replaced the fuel pump. I took off the fuel pump and the gasket was old and the gunk that was used had been on this fuel pump for some time. Remember i never used the generator til started it up the other day. So this generator should have run fine, with no gas leaks, and no oil leaks, whick it had both.
I do not recommend anyone take their rv to Texas RV Supply unless they want the same thing done to them.
P.S. I was charged just under $450.00 for total repairs. That was including $350.00 total repair for the fuel pump.
