I have written Dick's Sporting Goods twice since our incident 1 1/2 months ago with NO response!
My husband took our kids to Dicks for some baseball gloves. They thought they'd check out the treadmills while they were there as we've been in the market for one. My 11 yr old was trying one out and my 2 yr old was walking over & tripped. Her hand got caught on the back of the treadmill, which brought her hand under and "burned" her fingers badly. So bad they turned black and bubbled. Thankfully, our other son was right there and pulled her hand out as fast as he could. She was SCREAMING! They all went to the bathroom to clean the blood off to get a better look. Meanwhile, passed not one, but two employees and no one said anything. I mean, she was SCREAMING!
They eventually calmed her a little and went to purchase the gloves at checkout. My husband mentioned to the cashier that our daughter just hurt herself bad on the treadmill and she basically said "oh" - like it's an everyday thing.
This IRATES me to no end! Our daughter was in pain for over 2 weeks - actually her skin is STILL peeling after 6 weeks from it!
We have two boys who are very much into sports and I will be sure to tell all the local coaches, teams, board members, neighbors, whoever will listen NEVER to use this store!
I still am awaiting an apology or some sort of recognition that this happened in THEIR store - oh, by the way, it was the Lincoln Street Dick's in Worcester, MA.
