Just brakes is a ripoff, if you ever go to them on a Saturday after 1:00 pm BEWARE that they are not using a local auto parts store to purchase parts. I visited the Just Brakes on Joneboro Rd.in Morrow on 11/1/03 at 4:00 pm. I overheard the manager while talking to another customer beside me saying that the place where they get there parts from closes at 1:00pm on saturday's.
The employee by the name of Marvin finally, got around to getting my information for their paperwork and inspecting my car, what was suppose to be a $99.95 special promotion turned into a $286.91 job. I refused all other work except for what was covered under the $99.95 description. This upset Marvin because I was suppose to automatically accept what it was he suggested.
After being there 1 1/2 hours I noticed that the guys had stopped working on my car and was yelling back and forth about what parts number they needed for my car. Guess what? They didn't have them, and remember their supplier closes at 1:00 on Saturdays. I noticed the guy who was working on my car get in his truck and leave. I questioned Andre (shop manager) about what was the problem, he stated they had to go get pads for my car, I asked him from where and he said he wasn't sure, I asked him who there normal supplier was and he gave me unknown names, but still not being satisfied I went to ask Marvin.
Marvin was in the office not helping anyone, just doing some paperwork, and I approached him and asked him was there a problem, he stated they had to get pads, and that the guy would be back shortly. Remembering what he said earlier I asked him where they were getting my pads from and he let it all hang out yelling at me asking me WHY? Why does it matter? I told him beacause it's my car, my money, and I want to know! He looked at me and said we can put your car back how it was when you came in and you can leave.
I told Marvin that that was not an option, I had been waiting well over an hour and that I came to get my car fixed and that's what I expected to be done. I told him his tone was unacceptable and that I would contact someone in corporate in regards to the matter. He said do what you got to do, and yelled to the guys to put bay 3 (the stall my car was in) back together and get her out of here.
Mind you Marvin had just went throught telling me how dangerous it was for me to continue to drive my car with out getting all repairs he suggested fixed on my car. But now after being there 2 hours, my drums and rotors machined, time of his employess wasted he wanted my car put back the way it was a for me to leave.
I called corporate to talk with some one about this pure customer service and I was in for a rude awakening, the person in charge of customer service and customer complaints, Chris Cumor was ruder than Marvin.
Chris stated he had already spoke with Marvin in regards to me and that he felt like I only wanted something free and that I got something free because my drums and rotors had me machined and they put pads on my car, but what pads? Not the ones I came in with, not the ones from Advance, because I had to pay for those, so where did they get them from? The trash? Old parts taking from another car that they trashed? And guess what Chris was fine with that, but let him tell it it was my fault that I left with all that even thoogh it was Marvin's call.
My advice to you is DO NOT USE JUST BRAKES for maintence on your car because they treat you bad at the store and corporate treats you worse, they have no customer service and all they want is your money regardless if the provided satisfactory service in order to recieve your money. So beware!
