In July 0f 2009 I planned and booked a trip for myself, my closest friend and her mother to go to Germany. I am a veteran and an Army Wife who has lived in Germany before. We had planned the trip for December during the Christmas Market time. I booked a rental for Budget to be picked up at the Nuermburg Airport. The vehicle was to be a midsized wagon, 5 speed with a large 6 cyl engine. Having lived there and traveled the Autobahns everyday, I knew what I had to have in order to travel the way we had planned. I am 5'9", my friend is 6' and her mother is 6'2". I called Budget International and confirmed the rental, ensured I could use my debit card for the transaction upon arrival... I covered my bases. What I did not know was that there was no Budget Agent at the Airport, their was however, an Avis one acting on their behalf (Avis is the parent company.
