I should have checked RipOff report!!! I always get screwed when I forget to.
CARFAX repair reports just lull you into thinking you can be assured about buying a used car. I didn't need a report that didn't tell me the repairs the used car dealer did to patch the cracked head enough to sell it.
I paid $5000 for a car that should have been $3000 and had to put another $4000 within 3 weeks of ownership.
If I had had $8000 I would have bought a new car!!!
This service could best be categorized as a shiester support tool.
Who needs to turn back the odometer when you can sell a car based on a report that publishes a "money-back" guarantee.
There is no substitute for having a mechanic available to assess the car. My problem is I had to drive 100 miles to get this car and it wasn't near my mechanic. I took a chance but I felt confident that that my $40 report had REAL info in it. They present themselves as being very connected to repair databases across the country. BULLSHIT.
Dont spend a dime on this... invest $200 in a good mechanic.
