The reason I am writing this report is because 21 Century Auto Group owes us a navigation DVD to the car we purchased. After 6 months of trying to get the dealer to respond, we decided to give up, buy the $250 disk ourselves and just warn others of their practice.
Before my husband I went went to 21 Century Auto Group, we had already done a lot of research online, gotten Carfax, and had visited other dealerships. We were aware of the various usacomplaints.com and poor BBB rating. We still decided to go with caution because their prices were still the lowest for the 2007 Mercedes E350 we were looking for.
While there, they did do everything that everyone on the internet said they did. We already knew through Carfax that the car we were interested in, posted their website, was already sold. However, we were hoping they would have other "inventory".
And they did for more money and more miles. We had already tagged on an extra $10K in our minds to the whatever price they posted.
We were only able to get the price we want by getting an auto loan through them. Since we had extremely good credit we were able to actually get the price they promised. Read the fine print, the price they advertise is ONLY if you get their auto loan AND if your credit score is above 720.
Prepare to be there for a really long time. I think they do that on purpose to tire you out. We were there with a newborn baby and lets just say I had to feed her three times while I was there.
So after having the car for 6 months I have to report back that it's running smoothly. I am just upset they refuse to give us the dvd owed to us even though we have a "we owe you" slip.
Moral of story, never, EVER leave an used car dealership expecting them to give you ANYTHING no matter how small after you pay for your car.
