In August I purchased a car from J.D. Byrider. It was a 1997 Ford Escort with 34000 actual miles. Immediately after the purchase, I began to experience problems with the car and have been forced to return to their repair facilities weekly since my purchase date... 4 times as of the date of this post.
When I tried to speak with Mr. Hildebrandt, the owner of this company, I was refused access to him by the sales manager. I immediately retained an attorney, who has asked for a cancellation of the contract and a full refund of the purchase price because, the salesman misrepresented the automobile at the time of purchase. I asked, specifically, if this auto had been involved in an accident and was given an uneqivocable "NO". Upon further investigation, by way of a CarFax report, I discovered that this vehicle had, indeed, been involved in an accident in N.J.in 1999.
When my attorney contacted Mr. Hildebrandt, Mr. Hildebrandt in turn called me and was very rude and called me a B*ch before rudely hanging up on me. Just a word of warning to those buying a vehicle from this disreputable car lot... Go elsewhere... Everyone that I have come into contact with, that has purchased a vehicle from this dealer has gone through the same thing that I am currently experiencing.
