My son had his car repo'd it happens in this economy
Brian the REPOMAN from the company AAA SOUTHERN REPO who has picked the vehicle up has decided to charge him 100 dollars "IN CASH" to get his own personal belongings back.
The car dealership (a unreputable place anyway - foreman motors inc) has told me, " foreman motors do not charge people. It is the AAA SOUTHERN REPO company that does that." this would be dante i spoke with here. Real schmoozer.
I spoke to brian with AAA SOUTHERN REPO and he had informed me that my son does not get his own things himself. The REPOMAN brian said " i will bring it in a box. Your son will give me the keys, his id, and 100 dollars IN CASH". (what is he a bank robber?) if my son had a 100 bucks he could put it towards the payment.
Im sorry but am i the only one not getting this???
Do any of you know everything you have in your vehicle?
Would you trust this person with your personal belongings and important paperwork that you may have in your car? (my son has to pay for that as well by the way.) supposedly online it says they are supposed to make inventory of everything in it. Oh im sure.
I agree my son should lose the car if he cant pay for it but i do not believe he should lose his rights and have some person going thru his belongings and then selling them back to him for 100 bucks. Or for 1 dollar. They are his things. He already bought them. My son owes for the car. His things are not part of the car. The car was taken this morning and we called right away. AAA SOUTHERN REPO ' s Brian has said that we have to wait until tomorrow. Wonder why?
AAA SOUTHERN REPO is exactly like those businesses in the hurricanes that jack up their prices on everyone.
He told me that he can charge that 100 dollars under chapter 493 under the florida state statutes. Have you looked that up? I did and it gave me a bunch of really great reasons on why he is able to lose his license. Nothing about why he can charge anything. Guess his "fake me out" backfired.
I called the palm bay police dept i was informed by them that "since the economy some of these guys will do this charging and it is just not right."

Unfortunately for brian at AAA SOUTHERN REPO i have nothing better to do but spread the words about them.
I understand channel 9 news is doing repo stories right now. Hmmmmmm...
