Boot It, Inc
Parking Enforcement Scam

My friend called me and told me about his car being booted at a parking lot by Hard Rock and Hofbrauhaus House. If it were just a parking violation with due process, I would not have been upset. However, when he described the Give me $200 CASH NOW or I TOW IT I decided to see for myself. This video was my own account of the actions that I saw. A civil matter? Extortion? You decide! This is Las Vegas, not Tijuana!

September 21 at 3:43 pm To whom it may concern, I am writing to tell you about a disturbing situation that occured last night at one of your shopping centers in Las Vgeas, The Paradise Esplanade located at the corner of Paradise and Harmon across from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. I have frequented this center many times over the past 8 years. I have gone to every restaurant in the center numerous times, often before or after an event at the Hard Rock and sometimes both before and after the event.in addition I have met many of my friends, family business associates and co-workers at the center for Happy Hour and birthday parties. Last night I took my 16 year old daughter out for her birthday party. We went to the center and had Pizza at Joes, which I have done over 100 times. Afterwards we walked across the street to attend a concert at the Hard Rock. Upon returning to my car, I noticed that someone had put a boot on one of my tires. And standing nearby were 3 teenagers hanging around. One walked over and said that I had 15 minutes to pay them $200 cash or they were calling a tow truck. I explained to them that I had went into the Pizza shop prior to the concert as i have done many times before and that there has never been a problem for the past 8 years. They said that they did not believe me, I was then heckled by the other 2 people with this person. I asked what company they were from and they said Boot-It in Las Vegas, I asked for there names and a business card. They said they would not provide me with this information. I explained that this was no more then a shake down and that I have been to this center hundreds of times and provide alot of business to the business in the center. They did not care and then again threatened to have my car towed. I was with my 16 year old daughter who was visibly shaken by this situation. So I walked back to the Hard Rock, took out the $200 extortion money and paid it to these representatives of yours. I am a business owner in Las Vegas and have been for over 20 years.in this business climate I would think that a shopping center would do anythign possible to get business not to drive it off. The oarking lot was only 25% full, and honestly i did not even think about parking at the Hard Rock as I have parked in the center so many times. This was more of an inconvenience to me as I could have easily parked in the hard Rocks free parking garage or free at there Hard Rocks Valet.in addition to all of the duress this situation has caused me, I noticed that there is a considerable scratch where they placed the boot on my tire of my Cooper Mini that was less then one week old. I am very upset about this situation, it has nothing to do with the money but how I was treated and the damage done to my car. So with all of this being said, here are the facts; I want my $200 that was extorted out of me returned and a formal written apology from the center. If this does not happen in the next week two weeks then the following will; I will cease using all business in this center. I will explain the situation to all of my friends, family, business Aquaintances and co-worker and advise that they cwease using the center. I will then send a copy of this
