A friend of mine went to AAF in Fayetteville, AR and bought a truck. He had been making his payments on time and usually for more than the payments were set up for so he was actually way ahead on his payments.
He had the truck not quite 2 months and AAF decided that he owed them $600 in late payments and promptly "repossessed" (stole) his truck from his workplace. He had to take off from work to try to get his truck back and only then because one of the women in the office recognized him and said that he was ahead on his payments. They had repossessed the WRONG truck.
Meanwhile, he got his truck and they had stripped it. They took his speakers, his amps, some of his clothes, a bottle of expensive cologne and all of the paperwork on the truck.
He has gone to AAF repeatedly to retrieve his belongings and to get the paperwork but they claim that it's gone, thrown away. They did, however, turn up his speakers but only after someone threatened to fire everybody in the back. They were in the trunk of one of the shop people's car. The amp, clothes, cologne, and paperwork still have yet to appear.
He has filed a theft report with the police and they say they can't do anything about it. They told him that he has to hire a lawyer to straighten everything out. Go figure, he can't afford one and this is exactly what AAF is counting on. They have all the rights and you don't.
Automatic Auto Finance are just low life thieves who stole my friends truck, then ripped off his personal possessions.
