My engine fail and they refuse to replace it. My determining factor on making the decision was given by an employee at this company and someone elsedenied the repair saying the person was no mechanic. Pompano Beach

This company denied a repair claiming the issue was not covered. My mechanic strongly recommended replacement of the engine due to 2 cyl. Bolts at #4 were loose causing water in the engine. They claim that the problem was the gaskets which is not covered that caused the problems. I spoke with 4 of the representatives at this company in which one (Nick) told me that when ever there are issues with the engine they will replace it, if not, there could problems down the line in 6 mos or a year and they would not want that to happen. This was my determining factor on the decision to go ahead and have my mechanic break down the engine (which the labor to do this was 600.00) so Mepco can inspect my vehicle and OK the work. This was not the case. I spoke with the manager Mr Bob Detmer or Detmen. At first he was very nasty when speaking with me as I told him all I had gone through. He told me that Nick should not have told me that Mepco would ok the work and that he was only customer service and not a mechanic to make a decision like that and furthermore, how did he know that Nick made that statement to me as the conversations are not recorded.in other words, I made it up. I thank Bob for speaking with me and how unhappy I was with my purchase of this warranty as he wasn't worth the paper it was written on. I hung up and got Nick on the line again (what luck) and asked him to verify our conversation and he did remember me and the conversation because we talk for about ten minutes, until I told him that my case was denied and he should not have told me the company would OK the repairs as I had spoke with his supervisor or manager. I also told him to be sure of the facts when speaking with customers and furthermore, just be customer service and leave the technical information to someone who knows the policies of Mepco. I'm now out of 1500.00 plus 40 dollars a day for a rental car. It took a week to decide to denie my case. This has truly left a bad taste in my mouth about extended warranty.
