Texas Trucks of Dallas - Texas Trucks of Houston will do their absolute best to put you in the poor house! So far, 17 days out of 30, our truck has been broke down as they drag their feet to make repairs!

On July 17 we gave Texas Truck Sales in Dallas, TX a $5000 down payment on a 2006 Peterbilt 387. On July 20 we paid the remaining balance of the down payment in the amount of $6000 (this delay was due to Texas Truck Sales waiting on the contract, which turned out to be dated July 17 and 1st payment due on 8/17/09).

On July 22 we took possession of the truck (this delay was due to waiting for the finance company to call and do a telephone interview).

On July 24 we returned the truck to Texas Truck Sales in Dallas because the guages were completely inoperable. We were assured by Tony Guerra that their mechanic would take care of the electrical problem.

July 29 (5 days later) we picked up the truck and were assured everything was repaired.

8/1/09 we loaded in Bryan, TX going to Denver. The guages were not working properly and also found the 13 speed transmission would not shift correctly. When you "split the gears" the transmission would jerk something terrible. We had to drive the truck like a 9 speed. Also found an air leak under the truck, that when the truck was turned off, the airbags on the truck would leak all the way down.

8/3/09 While in Denver called Tony Guerra and reported the malfunctions. He said bring the truck back and they would make the necessary repairs.

8/5/09 Delivered in Houston and went straight to Dallas. Returned the truck to TexasTruck Sales.

8/6/09 Went to Texas Trucks to get something out of the truck and found their mechanic had pulled the dash and was swapping the wires around behind the guages. I reported this to Tony Guerra and he said he would talk to the mechanic. I explained to Tony that the mechanic would have the wiring to the guages so messed up that it would take more time to correct.

Today is the 17th of August and the truck is still not repaired. Tony Guerra and his boss, Tony Ortiz from the Houston location even tried to make us pay for 1/2 the cost of a $1300 part. After involving the finance company they agreed to absorb the cost.

No one will ever call me back, when I call them they are usually "with a customer" and when I do talk to them they can't keep their stories straight. We have been given the runaround from both the Dallas and Houston locations.

I have ask for a report detailing the repairs that have made and as of today 8/17/09 I have not received any information.

These people have NO regard for people who have to work for a living. We have been broken financially. Since we paid the down payment on 7/17/09, we have made 1 Denver trip. Today we are still waiting for the truck to be fixed.

Texas Truck Sales even told me they were talking to the finance company to make payment arrangements for our first payment. Are you kidding me, who do they think they are. What about the rest our bills. I asked if Texas Trucks would reimburse us for all the money we have lost while waiting on the repairs... Of couse, that was not an option.

I asked Tony Ortiz about getting our money back... He explained to me "This is not like returning something to Wal-Mart." Does he think I am a complete idiot or what!?

We have tried to remain patient and handle this situation professionally, but patience has gone from thin to none. Everyday is another excuse! How long will this continue? These people could care less is we are not working because of their unwillingness to follow through and make the repairs in a timely manner.

The lack of concern to provide good customer service is astounding! The fact that we have been financially exhausted is no concern of Texas Truck Sales. We have purchased several trucks in the past and never encountered the situation we have found ourselves in with Texas Truck Sales!

We found the truck through truckpaper.com. PLEASE BEWARE and steer clear of Texas Truck Sales. Everyday we wait on this truck is more money lost and at this point I wander what else we will lose.
