Ripoff For Minor Services. Mounted wheels & Tires that were bought elsewhere and charged me over 150.00 bucks

I have used Discount Tire several times, I even have a credit card from them. However this was the last visit I will make to this retailer. I went to the Dallas Inwood store to have a set of wheels mounted and balanced. These new wheels and tires I bought elsewhere and my original wheels & tires I wanted removed to take home. They stated my new tires would be too large and would not fit. I have done ample research to know this is untrue; they might rub with full load in the trunk but that's it. The tires were two sizes (1 05/45 and 1 15/50). I explained to them I want the smaller ones up front and larger ones in the back and everything would work fine. They insisted on a test fit. I agreed, after we started to argue about fitment. At no time did they mention any cost of this "TEST". Once they were mounted, one tech took me over to show me the driver front and back, they fit as I suspected - close, but ok. I went back in and waited another 45 min till they finished. Bill total: $128.00 for what? The man started to break down all the charges. $2.50 per wheel for dismount of original equipment, 6.00 per wheel for mount of new wheel. That's fine, but both of these charges were doubled for the TEST. So my bill shows one dismount = $10.00. One mount = $10.00 (although the original wheels were never remounted.) New wheels, mount of 4 = $24.00, dismount = $24.00. Then to the balance fees. $15.00 per wheel, total of 60.00. I have since called the next closest store in Dallas, and verified cost for balance, the reply - usually 12.50 a wheel after I told him what size and type wheel I had. This is the price I was told originally before I walked into the Inwood store. I continued to ask the other Dallas store, could it be $15.00 a wheel? He replied no at first, until I brought up my issue, then he changed his tune, and said I would have to see the wheel. These are the same wheels everyone has. Chrome lip, painted wheel. Now, to top it off, they put one of the 115 tires on the front passenger and I had to go back a 2nd time that day to correct this mistake, which could have cost me a tire or even worse. (The tire rubbed 4 times in 4 miles before I figured out what happened.) Spotty workmanship, unnecessary charges, and upping prices once in the store led me to feel this company is a snake. I was appreciative they didn't charge me any tax on the bill, but I did object to the unnecessary charges. They guy was not budging on price and wanted to argue in front of everyone. I stood there staring at him. No customer service, just rudeness and short responses to hurry me along. Since the tires were on my car and services rendered, I felt I had no choice but to bite the bullet. The more I think about this, the more it frustrates me. Why do companies have to take advantage of consumers? Be ware of Discount Tire, they are snakes! You have been warned!
