I purchased a 2008 chopper from Tony at HBMOTO in California. The bikes look good and thaught from information from Tony {who is supposed to be the sales manager for the hi-bird choppers division} that this would be a good product ready to sell.
I saw Kevins report on HI-BIRD and have had the same problems with this bike as he has had with his three.
Faulty intake, paint, chrome, rear wheel major problem, Handlebars falling apart,
chain roller and bolts missing, kill switch bad, rear sprocket loose.
Way to many problems and manufacturing errors to be a product that should have ever been sold.
I have repaired and custom made parts to get the bike to work. I had been in contact with Tony and Tracy{The lady from the China office}on a weekly basis to try get parts and info on the problems with the bikes. The end of May was the last time I received any reply via email or phone to my last request for a replacement tire and rim. Tracy had emailed me that yes the bike does have a problem with the rear tire and she would ship out a replacement. I gave her my shipping address as requested and have not seen anything for well over a month now. I am not asking for a refund. I would just like to get the bike back on the road safe and operational. If Hi-Bird would just contact me and do as they say to get me a new rim and tire that is safe to run. I would not have a problem at this point. But just ignoring me, leaving a customer sit with a -junk -new bike after being led to believe this is a good safe product is very upsetting Please contact me.
