I purchased a remanufactured transmission from John Jr. On E-bay for my 98 Chevy Silverado it lasted less than 2 weeks. I bid on the tranny he charged for tranny, and core, he added a torque converter I didn't order plus delivery for it and I asked about the core he did not want it. I had driven about 150 miles around town then decided to go on a fishing trip with my handicapped mother and seven year old daughter.
Towing my boat I lost reverse and 4th gear before making it to our destination. We were 130 miles from home, couldn't even launch the boat. Thank God a good samaritan helped us get the boat in the water. Later my brother came to the rescue. Over 900.00 and only got 360 miles out of it. I emailed John that night! He said "call me" I did and told him everything that happened. He said he had to talk to his technician and get back to me the next day.
Next day no call, 4 days later still no call. I finally decided to file a claim thru paypal, he called me less thant 5 mins later but i missed the call; I was outside removing the bad tranny he sent. After many attempts I finally got a hold of him 3 days later and he asked me to " send the unit to him, he'd look at it fix it and send it back to me we' ll split the cost of shipping."
Well I decided not to pay to send back junk. I paid for delivery of a good tranny and did not get it. Any questions you have are answered with: " Call me I' ll make you a great deal" avoiding any real recorded information that could be used against him on a claim.
